Best single card

Thanks for the replies folks, think I may give the 290x a go first then see how it goes.

There would be 3x 1080ps (5760x1080) yes, although I may add a 4th 2560x1080p for a top view later. and also a small screen for MFD's

Something like below..... (excuse the paint skills :) )

Like this guys, but obv newer monitors, BMS insn't demanding really so one 290 may be enough, I can but try :)

wow nice setup !
as said above, if money is no issue for you, crossfire of these 290x vaporx 8Go would be perfect http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-353-SP&campaign=social/forum/banner

After mulling several new monitor setups for Falcon bms I've decided to go with 3x 27"/24" 1080p's, after some research I've discovered the reason I can't get Xfire working with BMS is it doesn't support it, at all :/

Soooo, I am looking for the best single card I can get (no sli/xfire)

Crossfire not working is his issue its why he's looking for a single card solution atm

Title of thread 'Best single card'.

What is the honest answer? GTX Titan Black..

In your comparison to GTX 780 Ti, you forgot to mention the extra 3GB of vram. 6GB might just come in handy for someone running multiple screens or high res..

I also mentioned the GTX 780 Ti, and also the 290X, but you left that bit out of your quote obviously..

I take it then that you can't get 6GB 780TI's? Well. i never knew that, Nvidia sure know how to milk people.

I know what you mean. NVIDIA have a way of limiting even their flagship gaming card just enough to prepare us poor sods for the drip feed Maxwell ride.

Try using 1x1 Optimize instead.

What is the name of the game?

Half way there Matt thankies :) that got past the flashing and loaded into the game,
However It's still 90fps, (less than 1 gpu) the afterburner usage is odd, not sure if it's accurate or not but it shows 0 for gpu2.
cpu use throughtout is around 25%

There is a 6GB 780TI. It is called the Titan Black Edition.

The only differences between the 780TI and the Titan Black Edition are the name and the amount of VRAM.

Tommy has already told you aswell LT :)

Yep missed that my bad.

Can't find anyone info on what engine it is or if anyone has got crossfire working for it. Game was released in 1998 according to Wiki so maybe thats why.

Personally I think I'd stick with what I've got, but put the money aside to upgrade when the new series of GPU's come out :) Unless of course your not happy with your current setup?

The game has been heavily upgraded by the community since it's source was released. It's currently running in DX9 IIRC.

@OP for what it's worth, SLI appears to work fine with Falcon BMS:

I've tried those settings LtMatt, this is what happened, I also set cpu load on Ab to see if what Marine suggested may be true, doesn't look so :/
