I'd avoid 1&1 like they are about to give you the clap, from my own experience.

Wouldn't touch them for anything other domains and their control panel is a clunky P.O.S but then again, how often do you use it? They're cheap though and i haven't had issues in the 8 years i've been with them.

I use Dynadot for mine, sure they are not that cheap but I like their interface and everything so I stick with them.
