Best Sites for Browsing Fashionable Mens Clothing?

I'm trying to get more "fashionable" of late, which ultimately means I'm just dressing a bit smarter. There's no point trying to follow a fashion if it's clearly not you. Try and discover what clothes you want to wear and what overall kind of style you want. Is it smart, hipster, goth, prep, country bumpkin? And then take it from there. Though that all being said, I quite like askmen.com and dappered.com. But you can get some good ideas just from the pictures from the mainstream fashion places like zara and H&M.

Remember that the fashion blogs and the like are heavily sponsored and suggest ridiculously expensive products. Good for getting ideas of styles, but not for actual product recommendations.

Are we talking fashionable as in dressing like a gentleman:

or douchebag hipster?

Best advice I can give is to stick to the staples and away from the fads. E.g. Plain, sensible colours and certain clothing items never really go out of fashion, the cuts just change a bit.

Ignore anything that seems trendy like roll-necks, or these:

You get the idea...

They're a waste of money.

^^ Burtons used to be quite good :( quality of most of their clothing has dropped through the floor and styles likewise :S

Obligatory House of Fraser mention.

What I did basically was find a good wardrobe staples write up then put my own twist on it.

Funnily enough a select few of the Firetrap t-shirts are actually of nice quality for £8-£10. The sort of thing I'd wear to the supermarket. I don't want to be associated with chavs so I only wear those with tiny or no logos. Mine are 100% cotton and haven't shrunk in the wash. I did buy one which was 50/50 polyester/cotton; suffice it to say it didn't last more than 2 washes before losing shape and shrinking 2 inches.
