Best small camera for < £100

Looking for a small digital camera, 5MP+ for under £100.

Which would be the best to go for? I know nothing about camera's hence my very open criteria.

In that price range I'd stick with Canon, maybe the A580.

I got one of these from a well known catalogue shop for £76 the other day.

Seems ok so far.

some decent Fuji's in that range too,and saw a half decent Sony at sub £100 in the sales, but can't remember where....not much help, but I'm guessing that Canon and Fuji first, then maybe Sony, Panasonic slightly after....

I went with a Fuji from the book of dreams. It was for my sister's birthday.

Now I'm after a DSLR for myself.
