I'm after a new handset, preferably one that can do GPS or attach GPS dongle to/synch with outlook/usual stuff.
Can anyone recommend me a tidy 'phone? :)
Cheers!

There's quite a range of phones to choose from. Virtually every smartphone on the market today can do GPS via a Bluetooth receiver and sync with Outlook. :)

Could you be a bit more specific? Do you want something that looks like a regular phone or something a bit more PDA-like? Do you want WiFi? 3G? A decent camera? Are you planning to buy it SIM free or did you have a specific network in mind?

Excuse the late reply :)
I'm hoping to use MS Exchange 'direct push' on it, so it will need to have Windows Mobile 5, I believe. It looks like the network may have to be T-mobile, which I guess will limit which handsets I can use?

All pda phones will work on any network so it won't limit it in that respect.

Branded PDA phones will generally work better with their associated network because the network provider will have tested it. They're also likely to have fewer bugs.

The following PDA phones have built-in GPS:
Mio A701
Eten G500+
HP HW6910/5
Benq-Siemens P51

AFAIK none of them are officially provided by any UK networks.

Almost all of the pda phones are all made by the same company so the hardware and software are exactly the same.

I should have made it a little clearer. I actually meant network branded phones.

Network branded phones usually have some software rewritten or added to ensure functionality with the network.
Eg. My Qtek 9000 is essentially the same as the Orange M5000, but voicemail notification doesn't work on my Qtek, but does with the M5000.

On the T-Mobile front the most popular PDA style phone is of course the Vario II. This is a very nice phone ( I have the identicle Orange M3100 ) and works just fine with a 3rd party Bluetooth GPS reciever and software such as tomtom.
