Best software for GPU stability tests

Hi folks, question in the title, what is the software you use to test for artifacts/instability when overclocking a GPU? So far I've tested OCCT 3.1 which produces a small amount of errors at voltage and clock speeds that i thought were pretty solid. OCCT 4 (Beta) however produces no errors over the same time period and doesnt push the GPU temps quite as high. Evga OC Scanner, does produce some artifacts, but this utility seems to push GPUs really hard, far harder than either OCCT, furmark, or kombuster.

Consider this more a question of the reliability of GPU stress tests than the overclock i am running. And feel free to list any utilites/benches or games you use to determine a suitable OC.

MSI Kombuster and Furmark are good choices.

OCCT is good as you say, and that in "error checking" mode points things out for you, otherwise it's just down to your in built optical sensors to do the work.

Heaven and Tropical by Unigine are quite taxing on the GPU and the Sled demo can push the teselation up a bit.

I always felt OCCT was over the top. It pushes ur GPU well beyond the temps it would normally operate so ofc artifactst show up.

If the new OCCT isn't doing that then it would be a great choice for stability tests.

Something that actually uses memory is good. Try maxing Dirt 2 using the in-built benchmark (or just race) and you'll see memory usage of ~1GB at 1920x1200, which is a better stress for the memory than Furmark, which uses ~300MB. It's how I test my GPU's stability as with V-Sync off the GPU usage is generally in the 90% region and the memory is stressed/used too.
