Something with a good single player and different story to the HL story.

I just got back into CSS but mainly for Gungame. Ace little mini mod. Just find gungame servers by searching GG as first part of map name.

Hidden is great, but not single player.

As mentioned, Minerva (single player) and Rock24 (single player) are great too.

I just played this. Great mod.

Can anyone recommend a server which has this mod but uses normal map?

gungame is quality, I play on the AG Aerlon (sp?) server, it uses the gg maps though, I don't think it would work very well on normal maps tbh

Gun game maps tend to be quite a bit smaller and this works well. I'm a GunGame only player nowadays but I have to admit I prefer the turbo enabled servers....

HeadFraggleRock (Gone a bit poo recently)
Some PinkPanther server (Very good but high ping!)
and... playtime gaming in the UK (Very good server, not many idiots on there and nice pings for me)

Basically same as AG etc etc etc but as soon as you kill you get the next gun instead of kill and wait til next round (Or knife Or luckily pick-up your next gun and kill)

I have managed to triple level a few times on non-turbo servers.... some give you a speed boost for the rest of the round... always fun

Battlegrounds... American war of independence mod... 18th century lol www. BGMOD.com i think
Lots of bayonet and sword action and the odd Bullet to the face.

Its quite funny if you just run around with a sword all the time, you die a bit but slashin people to death is much more fun that shooting someone.

yeh I've found them turbo servers a few times and its pretty damn good, much more fast paced. I've managed to triple level and few times on AG, think I won in about 16 rounds once lol

The Hidden is boring. Nothing happens for 20 minutes, until suddenly your head flies off for no apparent reason.

It's quite good when the hidden is someone good and they freak everyone out, also funny when people think they've seen it and start shooting like mad and everyone then copies them, tk'ing in the process

I liked hidden - use to play it with flat mates on a private network. Thing is though, one of my mates had an old graphics card (ti 4200 or something) and he could not see "the hidden" at all. I used to just follow him round almost wetting myself before knocking him off a building
