I love my AE Aego M 2.1's. I have them running from an Asus STX sound card and to my none audiophile ears they are brilliant. I had some logitech Z series stuff prior and music (via FLAC) and games were a 'richer' quality sound to me.
SP2500 or Aego M are good alternatives. Depends what you can get the Aego's for. Quite a few places are selling them for £200 though. As good as they are, they're not worth that much, especially when you consider that they once cost £90-£100 around 2008.
If they're round the same cost as the SP2500, I'd go for the Corsair's.
Yeah, it's a shame really. They were £130 only a couple of years ago or so. At that price, they were almost a no brainer. Someone got greedy wanting more money for them.
