Not really. In a blind test it's next to impossible to tell in day to use.

For the OP however DRAM would reduce drive wear.

Does it actually reduce wear? Data written to the drive never goes through the cache. The cache is used for page table stuff

Intel Optane drives whilst discontinued also have even better Endurance with the DC P5800X drive boasting 100 DWPD!

I’m going to second a used Intel Optane drive as a better option for OP.

Incredible durance and can be picked up cheaply on the used market.

It’s great for acting as a cache for processes where you’re reading & writing a ton of small files and very reliable by all accounts.

I’m a fan of the SN850X 2tb and own 2 of them.

It’s not £100 but can be found for not much more than that when on sale and is very fast for the money whilst being cheaper than a lot of the competitors options.
