I've assembled a PC with the following specs:
Cpu: amd ryzen 7 270x
Board: Asus hero VII
Ram: team group 32gb
Psu: SuperFlower 850W
Case: Corsair obsidian 1000d
Gpu: undecided
Monitor: dell ultrasharp 3008wfp
Keyboard: Razer Huntsman elite
Mouse: razer deathadder
OS: Windows 10
Hdd: SSD 250gb samsung

The final build would be water-cooled but sticking to air cooled for the next 6-8 months or so. Will be looking to upgrade the monitor when alienware or LG come out with their new offering. In the mean time, what graphics card would you guys suggest to last me a year, maybe more that could find its way into a secondary build later on. I've been out of pc gaming for a long time and just coming back so would appreciate your advice. Amd has some cracking deals but would I benefit from a higher investment and use the card longer or a basic best value card now and see how the RTX pans out?

Ok so now that I've missed the boat on the 580 and three games deal, the options after a lot of research are as under:

1. B GRADE Gigabyte vega 56 - 299 pounds
2. Powercolor Vega 56 with 3 games - 349 pounds
3. 580 for 199 pounds

The 2nd option is very tempting. What do you guys think?

Thanks @Gibbo! Will wait till Thursday. Hopefully the Vegas go down in price. Will definitely have to order a card by Thursday. Need a desktop back in my life. Been on laptops for 5 years!!

AMD deals are finally here. What do you guys suggest?

1. Buy Vega 64 and call it a day for two years or so
2. Buy Vega 56 as best price to performance card in the deals at the moment
3. Buy RX590 at £250

Would appreciate your advice.

Where are you guys selling these games? Unfortunately no access to members market and I'm sure I need a LOT of posts before I can gain access :)
Im thinking bite the bullet, Vega 64, sell current monitor and buy a free sync one. And finally get back to desktop goodness.

Ive decided to go with the Vega 64. Sounds like a great deal and the Nitro+ is getting good reviews. I will happily game in whatever little time my job affords me with this card and see if my gaming needs have changed from the time I had a desktop PC with a Sapphire 4870 in it :) The next question will be what fans for the Obsidian 1000D. Will make another post for that. Thanks for all your help guys! Inching closer to desktop life.
