As we all know games over the years have been filled with sub games. My question is, what is the best subgame ever released?

Diddy Kong Racing on the N64 had a game where you had to swoop into the centre ring, pick up an egg and drop it in your nest, while protecting your nest from other players who tried to stop you depositing your egg in it.

My friends and I played it for about 12 hours non stop 4 player multiplayer was sublime.

Has there every been any other subgame that comes close to it?

A bit of an oddball one but... the trash collecting from Mic & Mac's Global Galdiators on the MegaDrive.

It was very simple - trash would fall from the sky and you'd have to place it in the right bin, whilst avoiding bombs (?) that would fall from the sky. The rate at which the trash fell increased over time until it got crazy fast. If a piece of trash lay on the ground too long then it was game over. Very addictive. :)

edit just re read the title. umm - thinking

On flatout i loved seeing how high i could launch the dummy in the air i can't remember the the mini game title.

Death tank in Quake II and Duke Nukem 3D for the sega saturn. 7 player madness and anyone who hasn't played it is missing out on the best multiplayer game of all time... bar non.

I have just unlocked PAC-MAN on Ridge Racer 6 that game sold over 4 million units worldwide in the 80s

I also enjoyed the bonus stages on the Streetfighter series

Death tank as stated above

And playing classics like Outrun Hang-On and Space Harrier on shenmew for my dreramcast

all the arcades in Final Fantasy 7. Basketball, arm wrestling, snowboarding, all addictive.

God I racked up so many hours on that game, tempted to start playing it again.... :| anyone know if they're gonna do a remake of it?
