Best sweet shop & sweets

Candy King has destroyed pick n mix. They've slowly replaced all the good sweets with cheap versions. It's infuriating.

The old cherry cola bottles were the sugar of the Gods. They were chewy and had a much darker "red bit". Now they're soft and have a luminous red top and are awful.

And nobody believes me. They've done it to other sweets too. The mini eggs, the giant strawberries.. it goes on.

Those travel tins I used to love them as a kid on trips to Wales with the grandparents, will defo order some as I haven't seen any for years

I've used A Quarter Of before and not only do they have a good selection but they taste good too.
Can't beat some Army and Navy and candy sticks to take me back to my childhood

Do you not find places like a quarter of and mr Simms really expensive? I understand the American sweets being expensive as they are imported but the other stuff must have a huge gross margin.

You can pick up stuff like rhubarb and custards in Tesco for pence. Same with haribo cola bottles for far cheaper than a quarter of.

Went into a Simms to get a bag of pear drops for the car to have instead of cigarettes... turned out they gave me custard somethings which triggered my lactose issue and I was ******** for daaaaayyyssss - sticking to cigarettes, safer.
