Best Thermal Paste

Wow that Indigo Xtreme really does life up to it's name 'Xtreme', combine that a Prolimatech Megahalems and a decent fan and I reckon that could give most custom water cooling setups a run for there money. It's not cheap though one of OCUK's competitors has it up for £15.75.

Good though it is, even a perfectly conducting thermal paste will only knock one to two degree off the CPU temperature compared to another half-decent thermal paste. Not enough to rival custom water setups, unfortunately.

I have to say though, I'm still very tempted to try it out!
 
Wonder if that Indigo Xtreme would be a problem with Coolers or Water blocks with convex curved bases such as Thermalright coolers are never flat.
 
It's worth bearing in mind that if you are running a water loop with both a CPU and a graphics card in the loop then you have to be considerably more careful when 'burning' the IX in, since graphics cards aren't quite as good at throttling/controlling temperatures as well as CPUs. There were some people at XS who managed to fry the graphics card due to leaving the pump off for too long.
 
MX-2, got me a big tube of it and it wont run out for me to test anything else.

Hence need to say MX-2.

Indigo Xtreme is defo what I will be using on my main rig £15 for 1 shot at almost perfect thermal transfer ouch, but ouch in a nice way.

In the instructions they say it should only be used on heatsinks that make full contact with the CPU, so it would probably be best to avoid it in that scenario.

I thought it would be a problem as i dare say the it collects either side of the bow and draws it away from the middle.
 
how do you actually clean indigo extreme after use ? also seem bit to much of hassle and risk melting it

that indigo stuff looks nice, im never sure if i've applied paste correctly so this seems the win

EDIT: Oh, it isn't compatible with the H50, never mind!

Has anyone tried out the indigo extreme yet to see whether it is as good as they say it is on the internet and on the graphs because i`m also very interested in this stuff?

Have I read correctly on first use you have to heat this stuff up by running your computer without the CPU fans running to melt the stuff for proper temps? Correct me if i'm wrong but isn`t
that dangerous and wont the computer just shut down without the fans running because of overheating? and would it be wise to do this on default stock speeds and settings or overclocked?
