A weight? Good god the spec me threads have reached a new low 'spec me something to hold a key down'

HERE IS A CLUE, SOMETHING HEAVY :p
Have you tried to do this before? It's actually quite difficult to find something small and heavy enough to hold down a key :p

Blue tack, Just pop the key off, put some blue tack around where the key sits, then press the key down again, it should stick into the blue tack, and keep pressed down.

People do seem to lack initiative on this forum :p.

i used to use a brass 3 wise monkeys to keep key 4 pressed on my spectrum +3, as this was the accelerate button in Outrun. I think that was about 1987 and I haven't needed to ever keep a key pressed down since...

"The bird! It's drinking the water!" :p

Obviously what you want to do is take apart your laptop and solder the 2 connectors for that key together so that they are always activated.

Golly gosh its not that hard... within about 20 seconds with a stapler and an eraser, i managed to balance it to press down a key. just look around and see what you can balance

Haha, loving some of the replies. It was for an online game which included a lot of grinding. Was going out and wanted to finish it off before I came back, I ended up plugging in a usb keyboard and doing the blu tac trick.

well that was fun, the selection of coings on my desk came in handy. interestingly it takes a fair few to push it down, but not as many to stop it from coming back up.
