As its a laptop, anything long and thin (pencil / battery) - just use screen to wedge it down onto the key.

Worked quite well - keys still pressed down and receiving messages from it

I used a stapler on the enter key wresting of the mouse. However, any other key is too small for this.

Have you tried to do this before? It's actually quite difficult to find something small and heavy enough to hold down a key

I managed it using just the contents of my pocket and with very little thought.

o Stack of three one pence pieces onto the key
o Place mobile phone (or any other weighted object) onto stack

Edit: Or even easier, a stack of four £1 coins, and a 5p at the bottom.
