Best Tools For Modding

A mill and a laser cutter are about as good as it gets, though neither will fit in a draw.

Top of the list imo is a soldering iron. I went for a gas one, so turning the blowtorch adapter on a stanley knife leaves me with an excellent tool for cutting through plastic (and another knackered blade).
 
Dremel, hacksaw, screwdriver, glue gun, soldering iron...

It can get to quite a long list, depending on what you want doing. Some jobs might require a stupidly expensive piece of equipment, some just time and effort :)

A tap wrench and ascociated taps comes in handy quite often if your into drilling screw holes in your case/rads etc.
