I am new here and this is my first post so Hello! I have been running a pair of 300gb Velociraptors in RAID 0 for a while and have just purchased an 80GB revodrive and want to make sure I set things up as optimaly as possible. Obviously my OS is going to be on the SSD but what I want to know is what else (if anything) should be on there. I use the PC for work and play so it is running things like MS Access, SQL Server, Excel regulalry but once they are finished I quite enjoy shooting and crashing into things.
I know all my data will be on the traditional Hard drives but its my program files I am interested in. Also would it be worth copying databases to the SSD when I work on them to speed things up? I have some VBA/Macros in Access that take several hours to process and if I can cut that time it would be great. However, I know that wil be lot of writes to the SSD.....
Any help in optimising the setup will be gratefully recieved.
(oops just noticed I have 4 other posts so I am not new on here just have a rubbish memory)
