Best use for a spare SSD?

Hi,

I have a Samsung 830 pro 256gb. I have been using that for the OS and a couple apps plus my games. I also have a Western Digital 1tb Blue HDD which I use for general storage/downloads/backup.

I've recently gone to water cooling and the noise from the 1tb drive is annoying the hell out of me (quiet freak).

I've got a cruical c300 128gb just lying around. I was thinking of running the c300 SSD as the OS drive and using my samsung SSD as games installs storage/downloads.

Would this be ok? Or is it bad to use a SSD that way? Worried about using it for downloads even though I don't download often. Would using it this way harm it at all?

Thanks.

Wonder if you could use it to extend your 256GB by 128GB. Don't know enough about it, but that's the only worthwhile use I can think of.

Or flog it I guess.

you could do it that way but the Samsung will be the faster out of the two drives

I would put the os on the Samsung and use spare space for your games inc the old crucial ssd

Read up on the bungee mod at the top of this forum. Makes my drive absolutely silent apart from the small whine when it spins up.

try the bungie suspension method in your optical bays, give it a google its oldschool but it works!

edit: beaten to it :(
