Best value 'capable' second hand GPU?

Not just MM, forum rules forbid me from linking others here though. Not sure on that given these aren't new cards, but other forums and second hand sales sites have had these at those prices.

Basically 300 quid seems to be the going rate for a 3080 with some going for less and some going for more.

3080 minimum and change to cpu to a 5700x3d. Gains will be massive.

3070 is better than a 2080 Ti in my opinion, and i certainly would not pay 250 for a 2080 Ti.

The 2080 Ti can operate in SLI; the 3070 cannot. Obviously you need game support.

5500x3d is the value champ.
can get it on the cheap if you know where to look.

What a nightmare... He has a ps vita 850w power supply that has only 2x8 pcie connectors daisy chained it won't boot VGA error motherboard. The power supply is decently rated but not modular looks like another purchase

lol, been down this road a lot, ended up buying new PSU for both my lads when I upgraded their GPUs. The hidden costs

Too late now but it's fine it's good to know he has a quality PSU going forward in giving him my super flower 850w and I'm grabbing a 1000w Phanteks V2 for myself which allows a bit more headroom for my builds going forward. Going to use the FSP Vita I have in his current system to put into an old PC for when he's not with me (separate houses living situation).

I bought a second hand Strix 980 Ti for £60 whilst my 4090 is returned (RMA) Does suprising ok still.

3080 is dead not having much luck... Fans spin VGA light on motherboard tried everything. Return and another olne will have to come.

Argh, sorry, that's unfortunate.
I'm all for buying second hand and consider myself lucky to have never had a dud component, but this is the risk we take. At least they're taking it back? Best of luck with the next one!

Would highly recommend a 3080ti for £285 that’s what I paid for mine here on the MM.

I certainly wouldn’t pay more for a used card generally mind you, 3080ti or not!
