Best value modular PSU ?

The Antec TruPower were, especially down to the ~500W range, but I don't think that Overclockers stock them right now. Antec are also bringing out a modular version of their High Current range soon, and they're likely to be v. good value.

Form Overclockers I'd say that the Cooler Master or OCZ modular PSU's are the best value right now, depending on how much power you need. PC Power and Cooling are also very reputable IIRC.

Silverstone strides are probably the best value for money I could find, but that's only with the higher watts.

Lower ed PSUs XFX and lepa are good, CM too.

Cant remember, but for what they are, they are OK.

Hmmm 'OK' is not filling me with confidence

I hate skimping on PSUs. Feel like just running back to the Corsair HX

Unfortunately I've got a low budget for this build

ps Stulid - Built the extreme4 - lovely board - STR worked perfectly, couple of bugs but overall pleased at the price that I paid for it ;)

Sound like a good choice then! I ditched a GPU so I could get a decent PSU as I thought it would be more "future-proof" and then I could always buy a better GPU later on :)

I'd stay away from OCZ, I've had trouble with them and can't say much for there customer support, was going to cost me £55 to ship a broken £40 power supply to them because they don't cover postage.
