Wow guys really have to say thanks for all all the replies

Although will be honest and say some of you need to get out more ;) (joke) :D

So with my current card is there any value to it ? Would I get anything for it ?

Gemma x

To the bay :)
I'm sure it would be a good card for those bit coin miners out there as some earlier models are fetching quite a bit, my 6870 raised £80 so not too bad, lost 50 notes on it over 14 months.

Are you able to actually change the voltage in the cheaper his 7970 card? Have you checked gpu-z to see if its actually changing?

I haven't used any extra voltage as yet, just raised it to show it can be done. I use MSI AB at stock settings and voltage settings are there to adjust on Core Voltage, Memory Voltage and Aux Voltage.
When the rig is ticking over, the temps are 24 degrees bottom card and 30 for the top, these rise to between 38-42 in BF3 or Project Cars on ultra settings and to be honest, they don't go much higher if I clock the cards to 1100/1500, however they get to high 40's to 50 in benchmarking.

Thanks for the pics however what you appear to have shown me there is the idle and load voltage. What you need to do is try changing the voltage and see if it changes when under full load.

No, I didn't fire any game or anything up, not sure what raised the temp slightly but I raised the vcore temp from 1.113 to 1.2 through MSI. Its definately changing. Will do another load test later :)

Furry muff its good that even the cheaper version is voltage unlocked then. I don't see the incentive to buy the more expensive version if thats the case.
