I've used Lubuntu since Ubuntu got the rubbish desktop, a lot must have ditched it so i don't get why they continue on or not have another version without it.
Im wondering if i should try something else now on an old laptop, maybe even go back to XP, what would perform better with flash video when you consider the better driver support?

They continue on... because of the vision for tablets and mobile devices... like everything else it's a gamble ... I may be wrong ..... I have to say it as I see it.
The real problem is ... age ... simple as. The number of times you'll see the phrase "old laptop" is getting beyond a ......
The poor little darling was struggling with XP... was a no hoper with Fista... got a second wind with the relatively lightwieght linux of 5 years ago.
But you'll still get people trying to scrape the very last nugget out of dear old Daisy with full blown repo's or it's (supposed) lightweight cousins
Retire it! Said it ... even though it hurts...
