Best Video editing software for a noob

Hi Guys,

As *** title suggests, i'm after the best video editing software but i'm very new to this so would like something easy to use, i have had a crack at elements and its good but does not give many options for dvd customisation etc. can anyone suggest a better program?

if you want a really easy to use program then take a look at pinacle studio mate, very straightforward
