Best virtual mobile network operator? (EE based)

Deciding to move from 3.
I can't get away with 500mb a month for 10

I know there a fair few virtual networks (giff gaff etc)

The one I had my eye on was the peoples operator

10 quid gets me 1gb but ideally I need 2gb (rarely go above this)

Dont need 4g as I find it causes more problems than not.

If you have BT broadband then BT mobile's £10/month sim only deal currently gets you 3GB/500mins/unlimited texts.

And it's based on EE.

TPO were by a country mile the most shocking network I have had the misfortune of dealing with. Had a split port issue with them where I couldn't receive phones calls or texts after porting my number over, customer service would tell me some other magical team I can't call is dealing with it. Call back few days later and they tell me that this magical team told them it's fixed and had to go through same loop few times. Other than that ignored two emails I sent to their tech support and only reason I was with them so this long is because I was out the country for majority of the second month.

Issue clearly wasn't that difficult to fix as I moved to Three and all was done in 24 hours.

Either BT or Virgin will be my choice then, both are based on EE.

TPO are switching to the 3 network early next year.

I'm currently with them, they've been fine, but they are very basic.

Annoyingly, I actually chose them because they were on EE.

3 are OK. I'm with them now, but would prefer EE
Unfortunately don't have option of any of those deals. The bt one looks ideal!

I'm on BT Mobile and can't speak badly for service or coverage.
20GB/Unlim/Unlim for £15 a month after a bit of complaining

I'd also advise that you give The Peoples Operator a miss.

Could try ASDA they're not that cheap though, Vectone mobile are cheap but I can't speak the service..

If i remember correctly, Virgin and Asda only offer 3g.

If you go through TCB on BT mobile £25 tariff you'll get £63 cash back effectively making it £19.75 a month. If you're a BT customer as well it goes down to £14.75 a month.

Virgin or BT would be best bet as others have said, one small benefit of Virgin that may be of use is that you won't pay to receive calls in a lot of EU countries.

but if you use that benefit then three may be better because you can make calls and data in many parts of europe and the world and it not cost any extra...

Three Feel at Home is good but it only covers around 10 European countries.

The question was for EE based though, he might not be able to use Three for signal reasons at home or something.

I was under the impression 3/ee shared quite a lot of resources? Maybe wrong

3/EE are both OK.. O2 and particularly Vodafone I'd like to avoid

15ppm is as much as I'd like to spend
EE do a 15ppm option that would probably cover me with 2gb which would increase by 500mb every 3 months (for how long it isn't clear)

Really, to do any better I need 2gb for 10 quid

Now I look at it, this doesn't seem beatable!

I just recently switched to BT because Three are useless for internet up here. 4G coverage for a fairly big city is crap and their internet is unreliable; I'd have to cycle airplane mode on my phone 5-10 times a day at work just to get the connection back.

Speeds aren't that much better on BT but it's far more reliable and I although I still don't get 4G at work I do in most other areas.

BT's current deal is 3GB for £10pm plus a £30 Amazon giftcard. Better than the deal I just got which was 2GB for £8 and a £20 card.

talkmobile Large 12 month SIM Only 3000/5000/2GB for £10 if you can handle a Vodafone MVNO (I know you want to avoid Voda, just throwing it out there).

I've just googled and seen this.. 3gb for 10 per month is cracking deal. I'll be going for that!

Ah, it's 10 with BT, and a contract, the EE deal is probably better as no contact

Orange and T Mobile are part of EE, does that allow your phone to roam between them without any issues? EE is a bit hit and miss around here but I can see a T Mobile signal.
