best visually game i must buy ?

Ori and the Blind Forest

Yes :D Stunning to look at. One of the most beautiful games I've seen is Wind Waker running on the Dolphin emulator. The WiU version has nothing on it - it looks truly amazing.

I'm running Ryse maxed and it doesn't look that good to me. Perhaps in detail and no.s of polygons, but all pretty soulless stuff.

Curve balls...

Trine 2
Ori and the Blind Forest

I'd always recommend Trine 2 for visuals.

But I suspect people asking for best visuals or eye candy aren't usually asking for beauty, such as in Trine or Ori or others like Limbo, Monument Valley, Unfinished Swan, Bastion, Gravity Ghost, Banner Saga, The Bridge.... but, rather, some technically significant re-imagining of the real world. Like Crysis

The most visually appealing game to me is still Crysis 1. 3 may be technically superior (vastly) but it suffers the same drawbacks as Crysis 2 - play areas are very funneled. Crysis 1 does this too with mountains etc but you have far greater (imo) latitude to attack/sneak objectives and it's in these moments where you can catch breath taking vistas

Add in mods, it's still beautiful

not really.
Yes, absolutely. Sorry you've been missing out!

Crysis 3 was still built with last-gen consoles as a baseline and it shows. Still a fine looking game on PC, but there's plenty of areas where you can see where it had to be held back.

What about the new Hitman game?

Not got it myself but I thought that was billed as cutting edge graphics etc...
It's definitely nice looking. Nothing next level, though.

Recent games, it's got to be GTA V for me. Pretty much a virtual scaled down Los Angeles. Not just the overall appearance but all the little details and "weathering" of textures etc.

Might not be the absolute best, but Witcher 3 has wow'd me the most in a long time. The colour palette might be a tad too colourful in places, but the level of detail and beauty of the world is amazing. Especially when you get to Skellige.

It's an amazing looking game so far. Not so much the last level released in Morocco, but the Italian level is something to behold. I've spent 20+ hours in that level and I still stop to look at the scenery.

Damn...I bought it on release but decided to wait with playing until full game is out...can't friggin wait.

It's been matched and exceeded by quite a few games already.

Still very nice looking of course.

Eh it really hasn't tbh, not even close. All of the games that are even fit to ride it's coattails abuse the crap out of post processing effects which only looks nice in screenshots. Crysis 3 is absolutely crisp and clean with no b/s effects, screenshot quality graphics from start to finish.

I challenge you to name 3 games that come close! Ryse doesn't count. :D

Not even close? I really dont know what you're seeing here.

And I have no idea what you mean by saying that post processing only looks nice in screenshots? Post processing is a big umbrella term for a whole lot of things, many of which are in action in Crysis 3, too(and Ryse). :/

In terms of games that are more impressive:

Star Wars Battlefront
Ryse(why wouldn't that count?)
Far Cry 4(given its scope)
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Quantum Break
Batman Arkham Knight
