best VOB compressing software

i recently built a htpc and put all my dvds on to my hard drives but they were ripped in vob format and are roughly 3 gig each, whats the best and easiest software to compress the file size without losing to much qualtiy?

any help is great

set it to use ac3 audio, and set it to 700mb for each hour of video

quick question, when selecting the input file for autoGK, selecting VOB01 will that select all the other vob files in the folder or do i have to select each one manually?

it autoselects all of them

Alternative is to rip with DVDshrink, set in the options to NOT split to 1gb chunks. This will give you on big VOB.

Why not just rip your DVD's directly to DivX or the other one Xvid . Picture quality is still good and it takes a lot less space. An average film on DVD will only use about 750mb of space when using the Divx format ,if you need to put them onto disk , you can get 3 ,4 ,or 5 on one DVD disk and you still get the quality .Someone has just given me a DVD with two new Divx films on , they play perfect in the DVD player and the quality is ace .Really good way to store all your movies .
