Best way to bulk up

Don't you feel really tired by the end of the week with only 5-6 hours of sleep each night?

Also, regarding deadlifts is it okay doing them using db instead of the bb?

Nope I feel great. I train 4-5x a week and have just got into a routine. I get to bed by 2230-2300 as I'm up at 5 usually and more often than not I wake naturally before then. I sleep deeply and well - WW3 could kick off and I'd sleep right through it. :D I never really feel drained, on weekends I tend to sleep about 7hrs or so which is more than adequate for me - if I feel tired/drained I just sleep more or go to bed earlier. Last night I went to bed at 930 - but was up at 4am this morning lol! It's just what my body's used to. I've been training for 2 years now and have put on over 20lbs of lean muscle so it works ;)

Doing DLs with DBs is fine, the technique's the same but obviously your center of mavity can change if you hold the DBs to your side instead of infront of you like a BB.

FF, i'll assume you aint really 3 years old (as your profile states) :p
Lucky for you as regards sleep.
When i was in my early 20s i could manage on literally next to nothing for weeks on end. It won't be like that forever junior......i promise you! *wags finger knowingly*

But.........enjoy it while you can. :D

I work long hours, but have always had a lot of stamina. No I'm not 3 ;) I'm 28 so still relatively young. I've always been like this though, always been one for getting on with life and not moping in bed. My father's the same, always been an early riser, I'm definitely not a night owl. I intend on keeping this routine up for the forseeable future!

where as i am most definitely a night owl, but get about the same amount of sleep as FF and seem to manage fine on it :D

lol, well i'm no slouch myself, i'm always up early, probably get about 6-8 hours a night, but quite often at around 3pm, i start to droop at my pc whilst at work. its that daily lull where you hit a nap attack.

I can quite easily manage on less than 8, but after so many weeks it catches up with me and before i know it, i'm taking a week or 2 break form the gym to recoup.
I blame all the antics i got up to as a youngster..........some call it karma! :( :p

I'm normally at work for a minimum of 10-12hrs, but I know about that lull - however if I'm busy I tend to work through it and don't notice it!

yeah if you're busy you can get through it. But often in my job i have to do some reading (not just these forums) at my desk, and my eyes just DO NOT want to stay open. :(
10-12 hours work? eff that! what do you do?

I'm a mug :p I'm a senior manager for a security services company. I'm a bit of a workaholic though :o

I miss the mediterranean lifestyleI have to admit.

eh? you used to work abroad? or are you from the med originally?

Part of my family is from the med and I also lived there, and I used to travel constantly in my old job (over 35 flights a year usually) and spent a lot of time there. Furthermore I holiday there several times a year. :) I love that lifestyle! :D
