Best way to clean leather?

It's a creme/white leather interior, getting on a bit but not too shabby. I tried Meguiars leather cleaner/conditioner today but it was absolutely useless (I actually had more joy with a damp cloth). Any hints?.

I generally find most Megs stuff below par. Its too main stream now.

Gliptone Liquid Leather cleaner is what you want. About £7 for a squirty bottle

Good stuff - you can get a double pack of cleaner and feeder and it's excellent, did a job on my 120k/10 year old leather. Took a few treatments but stunning resulys tbh

Zymol Leather Cleaner. Only product I've found that doesn't make the leather shiny.

You should moisturise it too. Any hand moisturise is good but let it set for a few hours after putting it on. Will keep it nice and supple.

Got to agree - only lone I can recommend after years of searching for one that didn't make the seats too slippery/shiny. Most embarrassing when you get in and slip off the front of the seat

+1 - this stuff is the business, keeps the GTIs leather in perfect condition and smells lovely!

Gliptone worked well for me when I had the Alfa... as has been said, it restores the leather smell too

You can buy a specific car care kit from them - Ultra 150 kit. It's more than others but certainly the best I have used.

Removes the shine from the leather, making in grip you again, and comes with a protector and top up spray as well. Very easy to use

Well, if truth be told, I use the Gliptone cleaner only if the leather is dirty. Hence the name. Then I go over it with Zaino leather in a bottle. This is > all. I really mean it. It just can't be beaten for smell, finish and last.

Cleaners will sometimes shine the leather, thats ok, use the Zaino to return the matt finish.

Gliptone.... Really good stuff if worked in on warm leather.( i suppose thats the same for any leather cleaner.)
