Best way to copy CD directly to another CD?

Hey

On my very old PC I used to have two CD drives, and I used Nero to copy from one CD directly to the other.

Now I only have one drive. Is it easiest to buy another drive, and use something like Nero (anything better?) to copy direct CD to CD? Would an external optical drive still work for this?

Or... Should I just rip the CD, then burn it with something like Deepburner or Imgburn?

Thanks

I only have one drive and backup CD's all the time. I use Nero straight CD copy. Imgburn will also do what you are after.

Nero supports copying CDs when you only have one drive. It will rip the original, then ask you to insert the blank. I can't believe you have never discovered this for yourself! :p

ImgBurn is also a very popular program and will do much the same job without all the guff you get from installing Nero.

Thanks all for answers, will experiment with ImgBurn.

It's been sooo long since I've even touched a CD, I've practically forgotten how to use them. Do you still put the shiny side face down in the drive?

:p

Blame my mum for not getting with the times. I've tried to introduce her first to "mp3 players", then to "Grooveshark"... but she's having none of it.

Nero also lets you copy directly from CD-CD if you have two drives. (IIRC... it's been years since I used Nero.)

EDIT: damn only read the title, not the post :o.

Anyway, just use Imgburn.
