Best way to kill Grass ?

Best way to kill Grass as in 100% ?

Currently googling it, and some are saying Rock Salt to kill the grass or on soil followed by weed control mulch and black heavy plastic sheeting or Visqueen on top ?

Am just looking at cheaper ways, I dont fancy buying slabs or gong the concrete route, so wondered if the above is the right way or any other ideas is appreciated thx:)
 
Dog wizzing on it ruins it. Fire ruins it. Not watering it ruins it. Digging it up beats it too.

Grass is high maintenance stuff!
 
We tried everything and it kept coming back. Put a black plastic sheet over it for a month all dead :)
 
Completely cover it and leave it for 2 weeks or so? Then try one of the other methods.

It kind of depends upon why you're doing this, decided you want a nice muddy garden or you have a small specific area to remove?
 
Nice 1 OP Im doing this as well. I want to completely kill the grass on either side of the driveway.

As an experiment I got some weedkiller, marked off a small square of grass and went to town on it with the squirter.

This was 5 weeks ago. Rest of the grass is green but in that square...all dead, yellow stuff. Lifeless. And this is after heavy rains as well. I'll wait a bit more to see how effective it is.

Im done with mowing and all that time-wasting bull. It ends here :mad:

Go to wilkos and get some ground clear. Go over it once a week for 4-6 weeks and it will be completely dead in a couple of months and won't grow back.
