im trying to install AOEIII on my new pc and did try on my old one and keep getting ero 1305 so im thinking it must be the disk, anyone have any suggestions?

BTW title meant to say clean

stack some books and prop it against it, you haven't said what angle you wanted it to lean at though but I figure you can probably adjust to suit.

failing that, i think you can actually buy a little contraption from places that you pop the disk in and turn a handle and it polishes the plastic and removes scratches

If its badly scratched... 'T-cut - Lite' and a soft cloth... fixed my GTA disc on my 360 ;)

I second that i read that the magazine had a step by step guide. google should proove prosperous.

I cant remember if you need to clean it from centre out or what.

Diluted water!! of course you have to dilute it its way to strong other wise. Dont you mean distilled??

Edit: memory came back to me, a well known highstreet retailer that has a pink and white shirt have a machine that will clean and apparently repair damaged disks, i think it may just be hocus pocus tho as they are guff any ways.

Yeah of course, diluting is for wimps. I find water from the bathroom tap better than kitchen, suppose you could mix the two but I'm not that hardcore.

Wow that's pretty extreme. I've recently converted all the taps and the shower in my house to Pow Wow water coolers with custom dilution (48%) bottles delivered straight to my door every month.

Its expensive, but its worth it for the peace of mind of never having to handle undiluted water again.

Do you live near a large blockbusters store (surely I can name that, it's a DooVDe rental store, not PC supplier)? My little brother worked at one and they have a disk cleaning service. Costs about £2 per disk but can recover them from almost any scratch. wont work it the disk is actually cracked or if the scratch is so deep that it has gone through to the foil in the disk. Works like a charm.
