best way to pour coke?

Ok you know the thing, you need a drink, you reach for the coke bottle, pour a few mm into the glass and end up with 6 inches of bubbles which takes about 20 minutes to subside.

Whats the secret to being able to pour a quick, full glass of fizzy?

I like to get rid of all the gas in coke, I like mine cold and flat on ice with lemon like some pubs do them.

Tip the glass at an angle and then run the coke down the side into the glass.

tried that, didnt seem to do much, maybe not tipping enough. Also tried wetting the inside of the glass first, no joy. God knows what they put in coke these days!

Which pubs do that intentionally? Sounds like they forgot the gas to mix in with the syrup.

Touch the top of the froth with your finger, it goes down quicker.

I don't tip the glass, i just pour slowly and wait for the gas to subside before continuing to pour.

lift glass in the air and pour the coke on to inside of glass very slowly, not lifting the back part of the bottle above the front part. If there is any foam in the bottle it moves to the other side of the bottle.

hold the glass over the top of the bottle and undo the lid with your toes.

allow a few mm of coke to enter then quickly reverse orbit when the 6 inches of froth appear.
