best way to pour coke?

I'm a nightmare at this..in fact i'm banned from pouring coke which is an advantage, just like I can't make tea, the wife and my eldest daughter do the honours. :)

edit - wet glass- does that work.. Will try that latter. I've heard it goes well with Mintos?

Wet glass works, I tested it out last night with a new bottle of coke.

Rinse glass with water.

Tilt glass 45 degrees.

Pour coke on to the side of the glass, i got hardly any fizz, at all.

Tip the glass, I don't know the technical term but you're not disturbing the liquid to release more gas by pouring it down the side more gently.
The opposite is found if you drop the bottle or shake it obviously.

This.

I don't tip the glass, i just pour slowly and wait for the gas to subside before continuing to pour.

If you tip you don't have to stop.

Oh lawd... 3 pages of instructions on how to pour a fizzy drink without ******* it up.

OP, are you also a dog owning, overweight chav muslim immigrant on benefits? If so, we can blame you for everything that's wrong with this country :p

Same way you do champagne. Tip the glass and ensure as it pours down the fluid falls a minimal amount of height before it hits glass so as not to excite the bubbles out too much.

I also beleive its impossible to pour a bubble free glass of coke if youre travelling at the same speed as a treadmill, or something.

Cool thread tho. Thanks dudes :)
