best way to put new drivers on? (8800GT)

whats the best way to uninstall the old drivers without formating the hard drive?

Uninstall all drivers
Safe mode
Run driver sweeper and clean all ATi drivers
restart
install drivers.

thanks for that, not sure what you mean by the ATI part, is that part of driver sweeper?

Are you having problems?
I have only ever bothered uninstalling the old ones, rebooting, and then upgrading into the new drivers.
Never had any trouble this way, I play TF2, BF2, unreal, COD4 - everything rock solid.
Think there might be a few people who will flame me for suggesting this

no, not tried to yet, i'd rather uninstall them correctly, becuase i had some problems when i had my ATi 1950

The ATi part is in Driver Sweeper, you have options for NV drivers, chipset, graphics, intel etc..

If your uninstalling an ATi card, just tick ATi Display in Sweeper.
