best way to reinstall leopard

hi after upgrading from tiger, to leopard and ilife 09 and installing removing loads off apps, images etc etc. What is the best way to reinstall?

Install leopard then reinstall the apps the copy over my pictures and itunes folders? or some other way

Would do the OS + updates, followed by applications and then files.

Backup Everything
Format & Re-partition disk
Erase & Install Leopard
Software Update
iLife '09
Software Update
Applications & Files
