Best way to remove scratch on CRT monitor?

Hi,

I was transportting my Diamond Pro 750SB in the car. It was only a minute long trip so I just shoved it in the boot but as I ran over a speed bump, the monitor must have scraped itself over the VGA cable or power cable. :(

It's a really good monitor too and the scratch is deep enough that you can feel it if your run you finger over it.

Is it possible to get the glass like brand new again? I tried taking it apart thinking I could just remove the glass front but it seems integral to the CRT.

Lol, the glass is the front of the cathode ray tube, so yeah its kinda important. Not sure how you can get rid of the scratch though.

Edit; Actually you could maybe try the liquid glass injection stuff you can get for car windscreens.
 
The DiamondPro is a mitsubishi, right?

You're ****ed, you can't even use normal monitor glass polish on them without it messing with the anti-glare coating on the glass a little bit. Grinding away at it with polish would no doubt jank it forever.
