Best Way to Secure a Bicycle?

I cycled to Tesco last night and while I was locking my bike to the lamp post a girl rode up on a Brompton, folded it up and carried it into the shop. She just carried it round the shop with her and then unfolded it again outside. I don't think it took her any longer than it did me to lock mine up.

Agree with that, get a cheap Halfords bike for commuting, or pickup a well used bike from the bay for work. Anything over a couple of hundred quid or fancy looking will get nicked. Then have a nice bike for sunday rides, don't let that out of your sight.
