whats the best way to test a graphics card to see if it's faulty or not..

i can load upto windows so even a windows programs

If you can load up windows and have it display something on screen (I.e. your desktop) then your card is working...
However, trying it in 3dmark will probably test it's 3d capabilities

well just done a test on 3d marks and it keeps crashing stuck a 7600gt in and works no problem think i've got a faulty card :(

Not quite, I have an AGP 7600GS that will run FS9 all day long without issues , yet artefacts terribly every other time I play Battlefield 2!

:confused::confused:

Can I test a card to see if it has been OC'ed in the past? And also if it is in good nick?

I bought a used Point Of View 8800GT

Have you read any of the above advice?

You cant really tell if its been overclocked unless its been volt modded or had its bios flashed but run games/3dmark to test it
