• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Best way to test gpu overclock?

I just run any 3d mark and look for any graphical anomalies.

From my experience, a gpu overclock won't cause a system crash unless it is clocked very high and very unstable (gpu ram is usually snow on the screen, other errors are normally the gpu core).

You could just game for a few hours and see if all is ok too.

iirc Furmark is a popular program at the moment.

Erm...without doubt play the games you like playing and a variety of them. Furmark is a bit mental in how it stresses things, I use it to find a peak over a few minutes to give a worst case idea of what temps could possibly get to, nothing more. I think of furmark to revving an engine continuously to actually taking the car round different circuits as playing games.
