Best way to view pc content on my tv screen?

so can i put HD movies onto the xbox and play them on a tv (if i had a HD tv that is)

No you cannot.

Personally, I have a dedicated HTPC. Budget spec so cost me about £250. Looks like an AV component. It runs Vista Media Center and works a dream. Streams all my HD content with no issues. Has my TV, Movie and Music collection and works as a jukebox.

Have a look at getting a cheap shuttle with either integrated graphics or a passive cooled card. You dont need a powerful CPU had a Duron 1800 in mine with a cheap old HD. could probably build one for <£100 if you were to be patient and look around. Plus might give you qudos with mates doing something different.

Hi, Im running two DLink media streamers (DSM320 & 520) and cant fault them at all. I have tried watching via wifi but on occassions the picture judders and sometimes stopps alltogether. Now that i've switched to ethernet over power i've never experienced any problems.

The only differance between the two is the 520 has a HDMI connector.

May I suggest you re-read the rules then :).

I've also RTM'ed two further posts in this thread for suggesting the use of illegally modified kit.

Its not illegal to modify something, it is illigal to use that thing to do things that are against the law.

Way to go champ
