Ah right, the item is called 91% alcohol ?

Yup ask for "Rubbing alcahol"

Or if you have a high street/industrial estate company called M****N (they specialise in eclectronics and stuff), they will have what you need. Contact cleaner will do it too

I have Akasa TIM cleaner in front of me right now, I use it to clean heatsink and CPU IHS when building nerd boxes. I guess this "may" be the same stuff too? else rubbing alcohol it is!

Yep works wonders, on sticky stuff , or any other orange/citrus oil based stuff.

Sorted! I thought what the hell and went out with the Akasa stuff and had a good rub with a cloth in hand and BAM! the residue is gone!

Now to await for the new disk to arrive!
