Hi ION, just a thought why don,t you e-mail Thermochil and tell them about the algae building up in your loop, don't mention that you cleaned out your loop before filling it up and where you kept the EC6. Because there are no instructions at all whether you have to clean your loop out prior to filling it. Our how to store EC6 correctly at all it just says is 2 year shelf life on the bottle and have checked thier website can't find nothing on that either. You never know you might get a refund, if you think about it most fluids usually have some form of instructions on storage and use, got to be worth a try. ;)

I think everyone is forgetting that unless you use the tears of a newly castrated black unicorn for your WC loop you are just asking for trouble.

Right everyone, all race round to Biffa's  castrate him and we'll use his tears and see if they are any good for a wc loop. :D

Ha yea lol already have contacted them mind u might contact them directly as i just contacted the company that owned them now instead (can't say the name but you know the company i mean).

But might try to actually phone them next not really even interested in a refund just want them to sort there **** out and add a little more detail(same with the thermochill rad just says to clean with hot distilled water but that's just silly as we all know it takes a bit of acid to get that crap off :D) and would like them to say that there stuff isn't anti algae.

Hmm might try tears next wonder if orphan baby tears are any good for wc :D.

Ha lol i use halfords battery top up water just to clean my system :D. Ended up buying that mayhem stuff gonna give it a go. Btw how's that PHN Nuke Biocide got some but haven't had the chance to use it :P.

Be aware, PHPNuke could cloud some types of tubing esp if you overdo it. It only needs a few drops

guys that is kinda cheapsakie though when it's that cheap why wouldn't u get something that has a proven low conductivity ? But then i kinda know what ur going to say :P as leak testing *** :D.

Cheers biffa i'll remenber that for that reason im contemplating getting a kill coil instead cause even if it happens slowly that would really **** me off especially if i was using tygon tubing :P.

Because I can't see any gain to be had by spending more than 4x the price on the expensive stuff! :D

I'd rather spend the change on beer!

OK I'm probably like most people who watercool. Started off with premixed which stained my blocks and tubing with its dye and ended up gunking up my block so bad I thought my pump had broken down.

Now its not the dye that gunks up your blocks its usually the other additives which over time and from the heat of the loop can break down and accumulate.

I'm not saying that all dye will stain or all additives will break down and gunk up, but why risk it for no technical benefit. Dyeing yes I can see an asthetic benefit if thats what floats your boat. But research it and stick with the proven quality add in dyes like Mayhems.

Or if you want coloured go for a good coloured tubing, I've done that in one rig.

So then I went completely the opposite, extra pure branded distilled for silly money, silver coil PLUS PHPNuke (just in case to kill the nasties before the coil did its work)

But thats unnecessary, for the past few builds I've just gone distilled from the chemist for £5 for 5 litres. Not a big name brand chemist just your local one, go ask if they will order some for you. Plus a simple silver kill coil.

Oh and I've stopped bothering about dyes and go coloured tubing lately or more recently just go for plain black or black uv :)

Distilled water+PTNuke PHN for me now.

Strangely I don't get clouding anymore even though I used to, I don't know if it's because my tubing has received different treatment (even though it's the same stuff) or whether it could have been remnants of Feser in the (old) radiator that was causing it.
