I've been using a set of Galaxy Buds Pro for the last couple of years, and whilst they sound great, I've just never quite got on with the fit, so I'm looking at alternatives.

Any recommendations up to around £200 please, happy to spend a little more if needs be though. Thanks.

After looking through a few reviews, I think I've narrowed it down to a couple of sets :-

Bose QuietComfort 2

Sony WF-1000XM4 or 5

Technics EAH-AZ80

Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2

Any opinions or alternatives please?

Had a similar dilema last year.
I opted to try the Bose QC2, and the ANC is great and sound quality excellent. I had an issue with the audio disconnecting for a micro-second every few mins (Android phone - seems common enough), doesnt sound like much but really annoying. I also use it in the gym and when running could hear a thud-thud of my footsteps in my head, not ears! Maybe because the ANC is so good! (Returned them)
Ended up getting the Apple airpod pros - i personally think they are terrible, they wont sit in my ears comfortably and the ANC is terrible.

I have an old pair of Jabra elite 85t's and they are awesome, brilliant ANC. You can sometimes pickup the newer Jabra elite 7/8's on the rainforest for about £100, i will pick up a set next time they are reduced.

I have the MX4s and the QC2s ( tried the MX5s and sent them back )

I use the QC2s the most as they are smaller/lighter and have better ( to my ears ) ANC

I looked at the older Sony's when I bought my Buds (MX3 I think), what was the matter with the MX5?

Recently gone for a set of Technics AZ80's. I really like them a lot. Comfortable, sound great (especially with LDAC) and also have 2/3 way multipoint (depending on codec). ANC seems fine, it's tweakable too depending on situation. But I barely use it since I switched to foam ear tips which are my preference. But there is a very good selection of sizes of silicone tip included with them anyway. The software tip selector in the app didn't work well for me. Kept trying to get me to use the smallest tips, and that's not going to work for me. Other people have said it works fine though. I just tried all the tips and ended up with the XL ones fitted. All in all, no downsides for me. Even got them for about £180 too.

It is really nice to have Technics audio gear back in my life day to day life though. My old Technics hifi is still in storage. I miss the VU meters :(

I have just bought a pair of WF-1000XM4 and they are fantastic. They have been refurbished by Sony but they were like new just without the little sleeve part of the packaging. They came with all new buds etc the best bit.. They were £79  unfortunately i missed the black ones so had to go for silver but isn't an issue for me really. I could probably not justify paying £200+ for them but i can see why they are worth that now.

I have heard some really good things about the new lower end buds with ANC. Probably not as good sound quality as the £200+ Sets but apparently well worth a look. I believe they can be had for about £80 brand new.

I found the sponge buds on the xm4s really painful, swapped to silicone buds, not as good noise cancelling, but adequate, but so much more comfy.

Do you mean the Sony WF 700? I'll have a look, unless some of the MX4 come back on stock!

Thanks for the info on the tips, much appreciated too.

Found a barely used set of WF-1000XM4 on another forum for £80, should be here tomorrow, thanks for the replies.
