Hello all, just wondering if anyone can recommend me a good wireless keyboard with inbuilt trackball or touchpad? Preferably one you have used? Had a look on Ebay but seems to be filled with tat from Hong Kong so just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience.

Its for the Mrs so she can use her laptop when in bed when its hooked up to the tv!

Ive been using a keysonic keyboard for a few years now - love them, even got an upgrade last year from and older product to one of there newer (more features) board, had a quick look and OC dont seem to stock any keysonic keyboards with trackerpads, but its worth a look - I use it for the same reason you want to - laying in bed across the room - can browse the net easily and play pause movies etc without constantly having to move across the room - lazy I know but also convenient lol

I've got a cheapish Logitech K400, (paid £25 inc free mouse) and I think that's about what it is worth and certainly wouldn't pay more. It's a reasonable wireless keyboard that serves it's purpose at a HTPC controller. Build quality is average, feels reasonably sturdy even though it's plastic. Takes 2 AA batteries and they don't need changing regularly. The trackpad is OK, doesn't feel great as it's a bit too smooth for my liking. I much prefer trackpads that are textured or rough and give a little bit of grib.

Browsing Windows/Firefox is fine from the sofa, about 10ft away but if you have something like a coffee table between the keyboard and the wireless receiver then signal can sometimes be affected. I wouldn't like to use it for work purposes or extended periods of time but it's fine for occasional use. Just my 2¢.
