The agents look to uncover the origin of this mysterious artifact and to find out why it is having a singular effect on Mulder.

An X-Files thread! 
My favorite would have to be "Darkness Falls" from season one. It's the episode where all the loggers get terrorised by the glow flies in the middle of the forest. Tooms is also awesome.
I have loads of other favorites, but those two stand out for me.

My favourite one/most disturbing one was the family of inbreds living in the (I assume) deep south. Very freaky.

Also the 'darkness falls' forest one two posts up was good, although wouldn't have remembered it.
The last episode I watched had them both trapped in a hotel talking to some old people, who were already dead it seemed. Not a definitive episode perhaps, but I enjoyed it.

this is probably my second favorite as it was the first X file I ever watched, due to it being on very late, and me being about 10 at the time, freaked me out at the time though, many nightmares followed.
I only like the episodes where it's proved to be natural or can't be confirmed to be supernatural. That's what the x-files is about.
The one where that village eats everyone, stores there ehad in the cupboard. Think they all work in a meat factory or something.
Also Like the Ice stage one, where they kill each other due to worm,ms in there body.

Bad Blood - Season 5 - The funniest hour of TV ever!
Monday - Season 6 - Where the day kept repeating with the same result.
Die Hand Die Verletzt - Season 2 - A school involved with black magic. The ending gave me nightmares forever!
Existence - Season 8 - A great chase through the FBI and a great ending for Krycek.
