BeThere - Just connected, bit slow, is this a new thing?

I'd also recommend ditching the BeBox for something like a DG834N. I did and the connection always syncs that little bit higher and wireless doesn't continuously die.

Still no support for Annex-M with the DG834N even though it has been promised for months now so not a good choice if anyone plans to go up to BE Pro after the recent price drops.

My be value has been enabled today, using the bebox at the moment , not tried the 834GT.

The last 5 months with bulldog were terrible, loss of synch every ten mins, hours of downtime. 4 Openreach engineer visits. Bt said my line was fine. Bulldog said it was the line.

So i did a return to donor and signed upto be, so far its perfect, synching higher to.

My Be Ultimate on today, get 7MB for the moment, but I expect it'll go up when it goes on annex m.

Not had any issues yet, only problem is with my dodgy wireless card but I will be powerlining when I get paid - should fix all connection issues (bloody microwave cancels out all my wireless)

Got connected to BE today (finaly, BT f-ed up the transfer something rotten) using one a DG834N.

So far i'm getting:

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
WAN DHCP Client 161748 216905 0 22160 425876 00:12:09
LAN 10M/100M 33785 75665 0 87 146 13:37:21
WLAN 11M/54M/270M 217932 162071 0 6437 276 13:37:14

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 17373 kbps 1313 kbps
Line Attenuation 27.5 db 12.4 db
Noise Margin 6.4 db 7.2 db

and a speedtest of:

On "Be Value".

Is that ok.... i'm hoping the rate rises a little towards the 8mbps max, but seeing as i was on 200kbps this morning with my old ISP for MORE money, i cant really complain!

From this morning all "NEW" members to Be will have DLM active on the line for the first 15 days.

This service is designed to help get the best possible service out of the BT line, now new members can request to be removed from DLM at any time and this needs to be request via ticket only.

DLM will monitor the line and check that the profile assigned to the line is the best possible for speed/connection, if there are dropouts or low speeds the system will test each profile until we can achieve the best possible speed etc.

This will mean that new members will not have to call up to get the profile changed as it will be done automatically.

I have made sure that no existing members will be added to the DLM

Regards,

ive requested they turn it off, i like to set my own snr :)

hmmm, just had a update to my ticket saying they dont do DLM on my line, ive been able to change the snr ok since day1 which was yesterday

you cant actually 'change' SNR you know? you can modify your target noise margin, but thats it.

SNR is different to your noise margin.
