Hi Guys,

Is a 7600GT better or Worse than a 8400GS.

I bought a 8400GS to replace my 7600GT tempererly. But is it better or worse?

Any reason why,

I mean the card is a lower model?

Edit: I have done some research but cant se anything major
 
I'd assume the 7600GT to be better at gaming.

The 8400GS isn't aimed at the gaming market is it?

8400GS would be better video playback however.

I bought this one just for using Vista till some better GFX cards comeout. probebly till January. I will however try to run flight sim x on it.

The 8400GS will be better at video playback especially decoding HD content thanks to PureVideo2 :)

Gaming depends on what game & resolution, but it will struggle with most FPS games.

Don't expect anything above 10FPS with a 8400GS on the lowest settings. The 7600 would be a far better prospect for gaming like that, coupled with a decent CPU.
 
Cool,

well this is a temp card till I get a decent one in Juanuary. Am not a hardcore gamer, wish I was but am married so I cant be :p

I play games like Civ4, CS:S and Flight Sim, when I can. But will wait and see what the future holds for GFX cards, and DX10.1:confused:
