Better use of my system?

I have a 2500k @ 5 GHz and SLI 780's all under water which all = massive overkill for 1080 gaming.

My current monitor is one of these

what about one of these badboys great for movies and games albeit newish games and movie

plus its a dell so they are the best panels no dead pixels unlike dgm which is a budget make ie get all the dodgy panels

You had a look at the new Asus ROG 120hz 2560x1440 monitor? It's released in a month or two if you can wait. Albeit TN panel but doesn't mean the end of the world. Otherwise the PB278Q is a good choice from Asus.
