BF1942 - widescreen

Yip!
The widescreen wiki tells you to change Video.con in settings/profiles/custom/video.con, but you need to change the videocustom.con in both custom and default and set them both to read only.
To be honest I have not figured out which ones actually change it, but one of them does. Just change all the video and videocustom.con's to your desired setting and eventually it will work. Note that the into, loading screens, browser etc will not alter, just the in game. Use the offline game to test until it works and you are good to go.

fantastic game, had it installed on every PC since I first bought Bf1942 on release. Frankly Dice should look back on this game and refocus.
