BF2 1.4 Patch OUT

I couldn;t get the 1.4 incremental patch to work so I am downloading the full patch instead.
Originally I did start to download the full patch but a friend said it was quicker using the incremental so I stopped it and downloaded the incremental patch. Tried running it and it threw up an error. Kep doing it so I I had to go back to the full patch.

I installed the full patch and had no problems, but what i do find funny is EA has had to take down all there UK forums, not sure if the EA.com forums are still up this was there reason, made my chuckle 
"Given that it is Battlefield 2 patch day we are redicting all EA UK forum visitors to this page. This is to alleviate the very heavy forum traffic that tends to overun the forum server on such occasions. We will restore forum access when possible though that is unlikely to be today, in the mean time we apologise to those of you who use this forum for games other than the Battlefield series, however these measures are currently unavoidable.
It should be noted that we are aware the forum has outgrown the server it runs on, an upgrade is currently being worked on and we will have further news on this in the future."
you would think one of the biggest games publisher if not the biggest in the world would have adequate forums to support "such occasions", cowboys

Running fine. I notice some imprvements in graphics. Noticeably dust kicks up a lot more. When you are driving somethign the trail left behnd is thicker. Shooting on the ground/mud also does the same thing and even covers up your enemy!
My main prob with the game has been the nurfing of so much stuff in some of the previous patches. Changed the game too much.

My bro has got it now and seems to be a lot better now
Iv been looking forward to Infantry only since the fist day i played it! WOOHOOO

I am having porblems with my 1.4 patch. I downloaded the full patch. I then copied it to my bf2 folder and ran it.
When I sart the game and check what version it is it still coming up as 1.3.
do I have do uninstall the game first and then reinstall it and then run the patch????

I just installed the full 1.4 patch over my 1.3 install and it worked fine. You don't need to copy the patch to your bf2 folder, i just ran it from the desktop.
